We are incredibly grateful for the consistent support shown by Plaid Cymru, the Welsh Conservatives, the Welsh Liberal Democrats and the Wales Green Party in their calls for a Wales Covid Inquiry. In contrast, Welsh Labour, who are currently in government, have repeatedly blocked these calls.

With a Senedd election taking place in May and the political climate in Wales increasingly volatile, it appears likely that Welsh Labour will lose power and will no longer be able to avoid scrutiny through a Wales Covid Inquiry. We welcome the commitment from Plaid Cymru, the Welsh Conservatives, the Welsh Liberal Democrats and the Wales Green Party to include a Wales Covid Inquiry in their election manifestos.

Reform has yet to publish details of its policies, but we urge them to join us in calling for a Wales Covid Inquiry. It's time to right a wrong.
